The
Brazilian market has expanded due to the intense ongoing research
and development of new products, growing agricultural mechanization
and the wider search for worldwide competitiveness. To meet the demand
from an extremely diversified agricultural sector, the company has
a complete line of crop spraying equipment that meets the needs of
both small and large-scale farmers. It has adequate equipment for
the most diverse kinds of farming, from vegetables to perennial cultivation.
In the 90's, the launch of new products was accelerated in order to
meet this new reality.

Masterflow
Control
|
In
1993, the Columbia Vortex was developed, with an exclusive air-assisted
boom system, which allowed the application of agricultural chemicals
with minimum environmental drift and contamination. The launching
of the Masterflow command allowed farmers to greatly improve spray
quality. This new control allows the spray volume to remain constant
despite changes in tractor speed within the same gear.
In 1995, an intelligent sprayer with an electronic plant detecting
system was introduced into the Brazilian market. This JACTO technology
component permits pesticide application only when there are plants,
and automatically turns off spraying when none are detected. This
Sensorflow System is available as an option on Jacto's trailed Arbus
line sprayers, which are used mainly to spray citrus fruit trees,
an area where Brazil is a world leader.
In 1997, the tractor-pulled coffee harvester model KTR, which made
mechanical harvesting viable in smaller plantations of 100 to 200
hectares, was launched. Despite its lower price, the KTR offers the
coffee farmer the same resources as the K-3 fully self propelled unit,
stripping coffee from the branches, cleaning and putting it into sacks.

JSC
4000 definitely took Jacto into the era of electronic sprayer
controls.
|
In
1998 ushered in the era of precision agriculture, with the introduction
of the JSC 4000 electronic sprayer control, which began to equip Jacto's
trailed boom sprayers. With the JSC4000, sprayers rely on a computer,
which dispenses with the need to calibrate the volume of application
As of now, the operator only needs to "tell" the computer
the volume of chemical he wishes to apply. The JSC 4000 takes care
of the rest. In addition, it supplies information such as: worked
time, treated area, applied volume, etc. In this way, it helps the
farmer to better administer his spraying operations.
This technological advance introduced into national computerized sprayers
the components to regulate and control all spray applications. JACTO
launched into the market, also in 1998, the new tractor mounted Falcon
Vortex sprayer, equipped with fully hydraulic air assisted booms,
with the objective of improving the quality of spray application,
and at the same time minimizing natural wind interference.
These launches consolidate the "precision spray" concept,
i.e. application of the exact volume desired with uniform distribution
throughout the entire application area.
Jacto's philosophy of working closely with the farmer in order to
develop and adapt new technology to its equipment with a view to improving
productivity on the farms has made its sprayers popular in farms and
plantations throughout Brazil.

technology, however, does not limit itself to providing solutions
for farming. In 1995, the company introduced into the market the first
national electric car called Eletro, designed for both cargo and passenger
transport. Since then, it has been used in plants, airports, supermarkets,
shopping centers, hangars, condominiums, football stadiums, golf courses
and other environments. It can carry up to 900 kilos using energy
from 6 batteries only, giving it the autonomy of a full day's work.
The passenger version can transport up to six people.
In 1996, JACTO launched a complete line of high and medium pressure
washers that can be used in industrial, commercial and residential
services. The Cleaning Division, under which these products are grouped,
was born from the incorporation of Sanisplay.

High
pressure washer model 6500
|
The
various Pressure Washer models ranging from Model 6500 to Model 9500
allow for efficient cleaning using high pressure. They are useful
in domestic services as well as for industrial and commercial uses,
including car wash in fuel stations. On the other hand, models LAV
500 and LAV 750, of medium pressure, are designed for heavy cleaning
in fuel stations, transport companies, bus companies, etc.
All these models use advanced technology and parts, most of which
was originally developed for Jacto's spraying equipment.
