Colégio Técnico Agrícola de Pompéia

The technical school "Escola Técnica de Pompéia" is 20 years old. The first class took place on April 26, 1982. By 2001, 18 classes had concluded the course, totaling 591 graduated technicians. The course's duration is of 4 years, three of which are spent under boarding school regime and one year of obligatory training in a Brazilian or North American farm. The school works with an average of 120 students. About 100 students every year, with their first year of elementary school completed, compete for the 45 vacancies. Most of them are aged 14, 15, 16, and finish the course by the time they are 18, 19 or 20 years of age.

The School prepares these young people to work in the agricultural market with competence and dignity.
Students are trained in all the activities related to a rural property. The courses are monitored by our highly qualified and experienced teachers and instructors.Theoretic knowledge is completed with students putting into practice what they learn in the classroom.

Day-to-day activities.
Students take care of their own clothing, bake bread, cook, and help in cleaning and other day-to-day activities. These activities contribute to their sense of responsibility, cooperation and community life.

Curriculum
Students are educated in the following areas:

Trainee programs in Brazil and the U.S.A. serve to enrich their curriculum.
After 3 years of boarding school regime, students conclude the course by working in a farm/company in several states of Brazil or abroad (the United States of America).

Thus, graduating students will be ready for life and a successful agricultural profession.
